It is always a good idea to evaluate the tides for your particular boating destination. Tides rise and fall twice in twenty four hours. There is a six hour, three feet difference between the high and low tide in proximity to the marina.The tides most closely associated with First Bridge Marina are the "Tuckerton Creek Entrance". If you will notice the tides can take up to two hours to travel from the Little Egg or Beach Have Inlet into the back creeks at the marina. This is were the the tides play an important role with enabling you to navigate the back bay and creek areas especially while in a motorized boat.
Kayaks, obviously, may not have this issue as they do not draw much water. However, the tidal flow or current as well as the wind can be your best ally or worst enemy, especially while in open waters. View Tide Chart
